Embrace the Journey: Trusting in the Process for Success
Jesus wants you to move forward even though it might seem to you that you’re not making any progress He sees the big picture and knows you’re on the right path. Let’s take a closer look at how Moses was able to move forward despite having a big obstacle in his path.
In A Dilemma?
We’ve all experienced those moments in life where we pour our hearts into making positive changes, only to find ourselves seemingly stuck in a rut. It’s natural to wonder, “Is anyone listening? Does my effort even matter?” But in these moments, we must remind ourselves to trust in the process.
A Biblical Example
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. As for you, lift up your staff and reach out with your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land. And as for Me, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them; and I will be honored through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen.”
Exodus 14:15-17
When the Israelites were faced with an insurmountable obstacle, God offered them a path forward. Yet, as they were about to embark on this new journey, God revealed that He would harden the heart of their pursuers. It might seem counterintuitive and harsh, but there’s a profound message hidden within.
Instead of Crying Out… Move Forward!
Instead of crying out in despair, Moses was told, “Why are you crying to me?” In essence, it was a call to have faith and move forward. It’s a message that echoes through time – when faced with challenges and uncertain circumstances, we must trust in the process.
Believe in the Bigger Picture
We often find ourselves short-sighted, unable to see the bigger picture of our journey. We may need to make adjustments or put in extra effort, but as long as we are on the path to success, we must keep moving ahead. Crying about the obstacles only delays the gifts that await us further down the road.
Staying Motivated: Tips for the Journey
Staying motivated during the process is crucial, and here are some tips to help you do just that:
1. Re-evaluate with Purpose: Take a step back and re-evaluate your process with a clear purpose in mind. Are you still heading toward your goal? If so, trust that the process is leading you there, even if the road seems bumpy at times.
2. Stay True to Your Objective: Doubt can creep in when things get tough, but hold firm to your objective. Remind yourself why you started this journey in the first place, and let that passion fuel your determination.
3. Seek Support from Others: Don’t be afraid to lean on friends or mentors for guidance. Sometimes, an outside perspective can shed light on areas where you might be stuck or missing opportunities.
4. Adapt and Grow: Flexibility is key in any journey. Be open to making adjustments to your process when necessary, but do so with intention and a focus on what truly matters.
5. Believe in Your Impact: Remember that your journey not only affects you but also those who rely on you. Let that sense of responsibility push you forward, knowing that your efforts can create a positive ripple effect.
Embrace Your Path to Greatness
So, the next time you feel like crying out in frustration, take a deep breath and remember the lesson from Moses and the parting of the sea. Embrace the journey, trust in the process, and let the belief in your own potential guide you towards the success that awaits you. Have faith, for your path is leading you to greatness.
