Jesus Purpose

Following the Narrow Path to Fulfillment

When we start living our purpose the way that Jesus is calling us to we will find the path to fulfillment. Let’s take a closer look on how we can find out what our purpose is.

How often have we found ourselves tempted by shortcuts and seemingly effortless routes to success? We watch others take these paths and achieve incredible results, leaving us questioning why we can’t follow suit. Perhaps it’s a viral video or someone living a luxurious lifestyle on social media that sparks our envy. The allure of following their steps, achieving similar prosperity, and attaining financial freedom can be enticing.

My Journey with Dropshipping

For me, it was the world of dropshipping that beckoned. I was eager for a fresh start and had heard inspiring success stories about this business model. Let me be clear, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with dropshipping; many have prospered by identifying the next big thing and streamlining it. Those who embrace it passionately can build successful businesses. However, I want to delve into the core of my experience—my pursuit of financial freedom. You might ask, “What’s wrong with that?” Well, it’s not inherently wrong, but only if it doesn’t hinder your divine calling.

Discerning Jesus’ Calling

The simplest litmus test for discerning your purpose is to identify what truly ignites your passion. In the words of Steve Harvey, it’s what you do best with the least effort. This is a remarkable indicator of your strengths. Once you’ve discovered your passion, the question arises: can you build a career around it?

Reading the Signs

During one of the “free” webinars I attended for dropshipping courses, I stumbled upon another money-making scheme. Two partners promised wealth through their website clientele list—for a small joining fee. It felt like the writing on the wall, an unsettling realization that what was being sold was me. Deep within, I sensed that another path to financial freedom awaited me, and I needed to find it.

Listening to Christ

Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.

See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception in accordance with human tradition, in accordance with the elementary principles of the world, rather than in accordance with Christ. For in Him, all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him, you have been made complete, and He is the head over every ruler and authority; and in Him, you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And when you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, having canceled the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.

Col 2:6-15

The apostles provide a profound reminder that when we deviate from our true calling, we become vulnerable to the false promises of this world. Dear reader, if you find yourself straying from your purpose, engage in a dialogue with Jesus. Seek His guidance to understand your deepest desires and the path you believe you’re meant to follow.
